Bangladesh, July 30 -- A Boeing 737 aircraft operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines has returned from the UAE's Sharjah after a six-hour delay due to a mechanical issue.
The aircraft eventually landed at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 1:30pm on Wednesday.
The same plane was scheduled to fly to Bangkok later in the afternoon. Due to the disruption in Sharjah, the Bangkok-bound flight was also slightly delayed.
Biman's Public Relations Officer Khan Sadi said the airline had not yet determined the cause of the delay in Sharjah.
He added that the Boeing 737 was being deployed for the Bangkok flight scheduled to depart at 2:30pm.
