Dhaka, Feb. 4 -- The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) says an independent inquiry has found initial "evidence of inappropriate conduct" by a former high-ranking official following a probe into allegations raised by former Bangladesh Women's Cricket team captain Jahanara Alam.

In a media statement issued on Wednesday, the board detailed the findings of a five-strong committee tasked with investigating four specific allegations made by Jahanara.

While two of the claims were not substantiated, the committee found evidence of misconduct and harassment involving Md Monjurul Islam, the former selector and manager of the Bangladesh Women's team.
