Dhaka, Nov. 17 -- Law Advisor Asif Nazrul says justice has been done with the awarding of the death penalty to ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina for crimes against humanity, adding that another letter will be sent to India for her extradition.

Hasina and her former home affairs minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal were sentenced to death in a case over attempts to suppress the July Uprising at the International Crimes Tribunal on Monday.

The third suspect in the case, former inspector general of police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, received a reduced sentence of five years in prison after he turned state witness.
