Dhaka, June 20 -- Bangladesh have ended the fourth day of the Galle Test 187 runs ahead of Sri Lanka, closing on 177 for 3 in their second innings, with skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto unbeaten on 56 and veteran Mushfiqur Rahim on 22.

Earlier, a superb five-wicket haul from off-spinner Nayeem Hasan restricted Sri Lanka to 485 in their first innings, handing Bangladesh a narrow 10-run lead.

It was Nayeem's fourth five-wicket haul in Tests and his first outside Bangladesh.

Resuming on 368 for 4, Sri Lanka lost their captain Dhananjaya de Silva early in the day for 19, caught behind off Nayeem.

Kushal Mendis followed soon after, edging a wide delivery from Hasan Mahmud to Litton Das, who pulled off a fine catch behind the stumps.
