Dhaka, May 20 -- The expenditure of the Annual Development Plan (ADP) as of April has been recorded at 41.31 percent, as the projects' implementation remains sluggish at the end of the current fiscal year.

This implementation rate is lower than the 49.26 percent year-on-year.

The July-April implementation rate this year is the lowest in the past one and a half decades, according to the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) under the planning ministry.

Previously, the ADP implementation up to February was reported at 24.27 percent. Based on that, a 10-month implementation was expected to be around 33 percent.

However, due to ADP's downsizing, the completion rate appears higher.
