Dhaka, June 23 -- Bangladesh has reported three deaths from COVID-19 in a day, bringing the total number of fatalities in the disease this year to 19.
The latest figures come just two days after the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) recorded five deaths in a single day --the highest daily toll so far in 2025.
Among the dead reported until Monday evening, one person was between 61 and 70 years old, another between 71 and 80, and the third between 91 and 100.
One patient was from Dhaka and two from Chattogram.
Two died in private hospitals, while the third passed away at a government facility.
According to the DGHS, 406 samples were tested across the country in the past 24 hours, with 19 cases of infection.
