Dhaka, Dec. 9 -- Bangladesh has reported three more deaths from dengue fever in the past 24 hours, pushing the yearly death toll to 401.
The number of hospitalised patients from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease has also risen, reaching 98,705 after 421 new admissions in the past 24 hours.
A Tuesday bulletin from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said, of the three dengue fatalities, one was a patient admitted in the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and another in the Barishal Division.
As many as 19 people died from dengue in the first nine days of December. Earlier, 104 people died in November, 80 in October, and 76 in September.
