Dhaka, June 14 -- Bangladesh has reported seven new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed cases this year to 262.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in its latest bulletin that 139 samples were tested during the period, yielding a positivity rate of 5.04 percent.
Four cases were detected in Dhaka from 84 tests, while three were found in Chattogram from 54 samples.
Of the yearly total, 104 cases have been logged in June alone.
Since the start of the pandemic in 2020, the country has confirmed 2,051,807 infections after testing 15,726,933 samples.
A total of 29,502 deaths have been recorded.
