Dhaka, Nov. 20 -- Four more people have died of dengue fever in Bangladesh, while 745 new patients have been admitted to hospitals with the disease in the past 24 hours.

The total number of hospitalisations from the Aedes mosquito-borne illness this year has reached 88,457, with 18,595 patients admitted in November alone.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) bulletin on Thursday, of the four dengue patients who died in the past 24 hours, two were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka South City Corporation, and one each in Chattogram and Mymensingh divisions.

In the first 20 days of November, dengue has claimed 75 lives. Until now, 353 people have died from the fever this year.
