Dhaka, Nov. 21 -- A 10-year-old boy has died and dozens more have been treated for injuries following an earthquake that struck parts of Bangladesh.
As many as 41 people were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the wake of the 5.7-magnitude earthquake that jolted the country on Friday morning. Six of them were students from Dhaka University, according to Inspector Md Faruk, chief of the DMCH Police Outpost.
The child, identified by a single name as Omar, was brought to DMCH with serious injuries after the eave of a building collapsed on him in the Gabtoli area of Narsingdi Sadar Upazila. He was declared dead shortly after arrival.
