Dhaka, Nov. 26 -- A fire that broke out at Bangladesh Medical University in Dhaka's Shahbagh has been brought under control.
The incident was reported on the fourth floor of Block A at around 11:15am on Wednesday, according to the Fire Service.
Emergency crews reached the scene five minutes later.
The fire was brought under control following an effort by seven units of firefighters at 11:30am.
Rashed Uddin Khalid, officer-in-charge of the Fire Service Control Room, said, "There was a fire on the ceiling of the corridor adjacent to the dental faculty classroom on the 4th floor of Block A. The fire has been completely extinguished."
