Bangladesh, Sept. 4 -- Bangladesh has recorded 363 new hospitalisations from dengue fever over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number admitted with the Aedes mosquito-borne disease this year to 33,309.

The Directorate General of Health Services provides updates on how many patients are hospitalised from dengue. However, many dengue patients do not go to the hospital. As a result, it is difficult to say exactly how many infections from the disease have been recorded throughout 2025.

Bangladesh's record for most dengue cases registered in a year is 2023, where 321,179 people were hospitalised with the disease. In 2024, the number was 101,211. It was 62,382 in 2022, 28,429 in 2021, 1,405 in 2020, and 101,354 in 2019.
