Dhaka, April 23 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has expressed deep shock over the suspected militant attack on tourists in Kashmir, sending condolences to India in a show of solidarity against terrorism.
In a post in X on Wednesday, he addressed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying: "Please accept my deepest condolences over the loss of life resulting from the terrorist attack that took place in Kashmir's Pahalgam. We strongly condemn this heinous act. Let me reaffirm Bangladesh's resolute stand against terrorism."
As many as 26 people were killed and 17 were left injured when suspected militants opened fire at tourists at Pahalgam, a popular tourist destination in Kashmir's Anantnag district, Reuters reports.
