Bangladesh, Aug. 13 -- The Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) of the Bangladesh Water Development Board has warned that low-lying areas in 12 districts across the country may see flooding due to an increase in rainfall.

The low-lying areas of Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Rangpur, Kurigram districts are likely to experience flooding while the low-lying areas of the Rajbari, Faridpur, Pabna, Manikganj, Shariatpur, Madaripur, Munshiganj and Dhaka districts are likely to experience temporary flooding.

A notice issued by the FFWC on the rainfall and river situation on Wednesday, said that the water of the Teesta River is flowing 5cm above the danger level at the Dalia point.
