Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- The Bangladesh government has taken the initiative to sell milk, eggs and meat to the public at affordable prices during the upcoming month of Ramadan.
The food products will be available at mobile sales centres throughout the month.
The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock said in a media statement on Tuesday that the program will continue for a total of 26 days from the day before Ramadan to the 25th day of Ramadan under the initiative of the ministry and the Department of Livestock.
During this time, dressed broiler chicken will be sold to consumers at Tk 245 per kg, pasteurised milk at Tk 80 per litre, eggs at Tk 8 per piece and beef at Tk 650 per kg.
