Dhaka, Nov. 23 -- The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has extended the deadline for filing income tax returns for individual taxpayers for the 2025-26 fiscal year by one month to Dec 31.

Previously, the deadline for filing returns was Nov 30.

The NBR extended the deadline in an order on Sunday.

At the same time, the tax collection agency issued another order allowing anyone who is unable to file income tax returns online to apply to the excise commissioner by December 15.

From this tax year, it is mandatory to file tax returns online.
