Dhaka, Dec. 21 -- Fog has enveloped parts of the country, including the capital Dhaka, with the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasting that the condition will persist for several more days, particularly in the northern and western regions.

Meteorologist Md Toriful Newaz Kabir told bdnews24.com on Sunday afternoon that fog is likely to intensify in the coming days, especially over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions.

"As fog delays the arrival of sunlight, the daytime temperature in these regions may feel 1 to 3 degrees Celsius lower," he said, adding that the sensation of cold could increase during the day.
