Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- Bangladesh Bank has introduced a new design for the Tk 10 banknote, featuring imagery from last year's July Uprising alongside its earlier design of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
The newly redesigned note will be available from Tuesday through Bangladesh Bank as well as commercial banks across the country.
In a press statement, the central bank said the note has been printed under its new series titled "Historical and Archaeological Architecture of Bangladesh".
The Tk 10 note, signed by Bangladesh Bank Governor Ahsan H Mansur, has entered circulation for the first time.
DESIGN AND SECURITY FEATURES
The banknote measures 123mm by 60mm and carries a predominantly pink colour scheme.
