Dhaka, March 25 -- The Bangladesh Army has issued a rejoinder to a report carried by India Today implying that a coup d'etat was brewing against the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus.

The article, titled "Bangladesh Army Holds Emergency Meeting Amid Possibility of Coup Against Chief Adviser Mohammad Yunus", was published on Tuesday.

The report is based entirely on false and fabricated information in relation to a routine meeting held by the Bangladesh Army, according to the Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR).
