Dhaka, Feb. 23 -- Bangladesh and the United States are seeking to elevate their partnership to "new heights", with both sides highlighting broader collaboration across key sectors of engagement.

The courtesy call, held at the foreign ministry on Monday, comes as the new administration in Dhaka begins its diplomatic engagements with global powers.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) following the meeting, Ambassador Christensen congratulated the foreign minister on his new role.

"Congratulations to Khalil Rahman on his new role as Minister of Foreign Affairs," he wrote.
