Dhaka, March 28 -- Bangladesh and China have signed an agreement on economic and technical cooperation and eight memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on translation and production of classics, exchanges and cooperation on cultural heritage, news exchange, media, sports and health sectors.
Deputy Press Secretary Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad Majumder confirmed the matter, according to a Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) report citing the chief advisor's Facebook page.
Azad added that five announcements were made for launching formal negotiations on investment.
An instrument was signed for the commencement of the China Industrial Economic Zone while a commercial agreement was signed for modernisation and expansion of the Mongla port.
