Dhaka, Dec. 19 -- The admission test for Dhaka University's science unit (Ka unit) and recruitment tests for the posts of assistant director and assistant secretary at the University Grants Commission (UGC) have been suspended.

A total of 7,351 candidates were scheduled to take part in the UGC recruitment examination for 15 posts at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology-BUET campus on Friday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

The admission test for the Dhaka University science unit was scheduled on Saturday.

A press statement sent by Shamsul Arefin, director of the UGC's Public Relations and Publications Department, on Friday morning announced the postponement of the exam due to "unavoidable circumstances".
