Dhaka, Dec. 15 -- The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Kabir, a close associate of Faisal Karim Masud, the key suspect in the attempted murder of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman bin Hadi.

He was detained in Narayanganj on Monday evening, RAB Media Wing Director MZM Intekhab Chowdhury said.

Kabir is the seventh suspect arrested in the case.

Earlier, RAB had arrested Faisal's wife, brother-in-law and girlfriend.

Before their arrests, the elite police unit detained Abdul Hannan, the registered owner of the motorcycle used in the attempt on Hadi's life.

Separately, the Detective Branch of police, while investigating the attack, said they arrested two people on charges of human trafficking through the country's border. ...
