Dhaka, Dec. 28 -- Md Asaduzzaman has tendered his resignation as attorney general to the president, formally stepping down from the country's top legal post.
Deputy Attorney General Md Jahirlul Islam Sumon told bdnews24.com that Asaduzzaman handed in his resignation letter at the Attorney General's Office around 9pm on Saturday.
"He submitted the resignation letter citing personal reasons. It will be forwarded to the law ministry on Sunday morning," Sumon said.
Sumon added that the Attorney General's Office formally bid farewell to Asaduzzaman on Sunday night.
