Dhaka, May 22 -- The Bangladesh Army has released the list of people who took shelter in cantonments during the fall of the Awami League government amid the Anti-discrimination Student Movement.

The Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) confirmed that 626 people were given shelter in different cantonments at that time.

Among them were 24 political figures, 5 judges, 19 civil administration officials, and 515 police officers and personnel.

The list also includes 12 officials from public universities, along with 51 family members-wives and children-of those who sought protection.
