Dhaka, Nov. 18 -- Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir has said the country will respond decisively to any provocation, "in the same way as it did in May" during the brief, yet intense, conflict with India earlier this year.

The Guardian, citing Daily Jang reported that the army chief made these remarks during a luncheon in Islamabad held in honour of King Abdullah II of Jordan, who arrived on a two-day official visit.

"During the war with India, Allah helped us raise our heads high," Munir said. "When a Muslim puts their trust in Allah, He turns the dirt thrown at the enemy into missiles."
