Dhaka, March 19 -- Chief of Army Staff Gen Waker-uz-Zaman has met with Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus to discuss the overall security situation in the country.

The meeting took place at the State Guest House Jamuna on Wednesday, according to a Facebook post from the Bangladesh Army.

During the meeting, the army chief also briefed Yunus on the army's ongoing activities and initiatives to support the country's development and stability.

Gen Waker also spoke about his recent trip to the Central African Republic, expressing hope that the visit would help strengthen bilateral relations and military cooperation between the two nations.
