Dhaka, Feb. 2 -- The Libyan Red Crescent Society suspects that 20 bodies recovered from the Mediterranean Sea off the Libyan coast may be those of Bangladeshi nationals.
In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka expressed concern over the incident, citing information from the Bangladesh Embassy in Libya.
All 20 dead individuals have been buried as the bodies were in a decomposed state, the ministry said.
The nationalities of the deceased have not been identified yet although the local Red Crescent believes all of them are Bangladesh nationals, according to the statement.
According to the Bangladesh mission in Libya, the tragedy occurred in an area controlled by Libya's eastern government, based in Benghazi. ...
