Dhaka, May 24 -- Members of the interim government's Advisory Council have held an unscheduled meeting amid mounting political uncertainty and speculation over Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus's possible resignation.
The meeting began at 12:20pm on Saturday at the NEC Conference Room in Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
The agenda of the meeting has not yet been disclosed.
Earlier in the day, an Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting took place in the same room from 11:00am to around 12:15pm. Ten projects were reportedly approved during the session.
Nineteen advisors are attending the Advisory Council meeting, and their flag-bearing vehicles are parked outside.
