Dhaka, March 26 -- Environment Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan has emphasised the importance of building consensus for the national interest.

"Political and ethical consensus is needed to achieve the people's trust. Everyone must work together to implement the necessary reforms for the welfare of the people", she said.

She made the remarks while speaking to journalists after paying tribute to the Liberation War heroes at the National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar on the occasion of Independence Day on Wednesday, according to a statement issued by the ministry.
