Dhaka, Dec. 18 -- Law Advisor Asif Nazrul has expressed concern over what he described as an "alarming" number of bail orders being granted by the High Court within a short period.
He made the remarks after meeting outgoing Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed on Thursday.
Drawing attention to the bail of Faisal Karim Masud, a suspect in the attempted murder of Inqilab Moncho Convenor Sharif Osman bin Hadi, the advisor warned of the potential risks such judicial decisions pose.
"We feel profoundly alarmed, panicked, and worried by this type of bail. A dangerous individual might receive bail and subsequently carry out attacks on the heroes of the July Uprising," he said.
