Dhaka, May 6 -- The sale of advance train tickets for journeys before and after Eid-ul-Azha will begin on May 21.
Tariq Muhammad Imran, deputy chief operations officer (COPS) of Bangladesh Railway's Eastern Zone, said the schedule for the sale of advance and return tickets was decided at a meeting chaired by the railway's director general in Dhaka on Saturday.
Five special trains will run on the eastern route this time alongside three pairs of special trains arranged for the supply of sacrificial animals.
Tickets for May 31 will be made available on May 21, followed by those for Jun 1 on May 22, Jun 2 on May 23, Jun 3 on May 24, Jun 4 on May 25, Jun 5 on May 26, and Jun 6 on May 27.
