Dhaka, May 13 -- The hours-long disruption to the National Identity Card (NID) service website caused by issues with the One-Time Password (OTP) verification system has now been resolved.

Director General of the National Identity Registration Division, ASM Humayun Kabir, confirmed that the technical complications were solved by Tuesday afternoon.

"The service is now running smoothly for everyone. The service provider has assured us that there will be no further issues from Wednesday onwards. We hope such disruptions will not occur again in the future," he said.
