Dhaka, April 27 -- Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Director General Akhtar Hossain has announced the launch of an investigation into the corruption allegations against the former assistant private secretary (APS) and personal officer (PO) to two government advisors.

Recently, allegations of corruption led to the dismissal of Moazzem Hossain, former APS to Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan, and Tuhin Farabi, ex-PO to Health Advisor Nurjahan Begum.

On Sunday afternoon, Akhtar said: "We will take the necessary measures regarding the corruption allegations against the APS and PO of the two advisors under ACC laws and regulations."
