Dhaka, Oct. 25 -- Nearly 226,561 candidates have applied for re-evaluation of around 428,000 answer scripts of Higher Secondary certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams across 11 education boards, citing "unsatisfactory" results.

The highest number of applications was submitted to the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka. The lowest was 7,916 to the Madrasah Education Board.

The controller of examinations of the Dhaka education board told bdnews24.com on Saturday, "There is a rule to publish the results of re-evaluation within 30 days of the publication of the original results.

"Accordingly, the results of the reviewed scripts will be published by Nov 16."
