Dhaka, Dec. 9 -- As many as 85 fishermen detained by the Indian and Bangladeshi coastguards have returned to their respective countries.
On Tuesday, 32 fishermen detained in India were handed over to the Bangladesh Coast Guard, while 47 Indian fishermen detained in Bangladesh were handed over to the Indian Coast Guard.
The mutual repatriation has been completed along the international maritime boundary of the two countries in the Bay of Bengal, according to a statement by the foreign affairs ministry.
In addition to the 32 Bangladeshis handed over at sea, six more fishermen were repatriated via the Nakugaon Land Port.
