Dhaka, July 7 -- Police have arrested four people for allegedly gang-raping a woman while holding a knife to the throat of her 18-month-old child in Pachagarh.

The woman started a case over the incident at Panchagarh Sadar Police Station on Saturday. Later that night, police conducted a raid and arrested four suspects from their homes.

The incident occurred on Friday night in the Sare Tin Mile area of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila, according to Abdullah Hil Zaman, chief of the local police station.

The arrestees have been identified as Jony Islam, 27, Biplob Hossain, 25, Moksedul Islam, 33, and Sadekul Islam, 28.
