Dhaka, Jan. 28 -- A clash between the activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jamaat-e-Islami has left at least 30 people injured in Sherpur.
The clash broke out at an event where candidates were invited to announce their election manifestos over the activists' occupying front-row seats at the event.
Jamaat and BNP leaders have blamed each other for the clash.
The incident occurred around 3pm on Wednesday at the Jhenaigati Upazila Mini Stadium.
Candidates running in the parliamentary polls from the Sherpur-3 constituency were invited to attend the programme.
The injured were admitted to the Jhenaigati Upazila Health Complex.
