Dhaka, April 21 -- Police have arrested three teenagers over the murder of Primeasia University student Zahidul Islam Parvez.

They were arrested during a raid in the Wireless Gate area of Dhaka's Mohakhali around midnight on Sunday, according to Rasel Sarwar, chief of Banani Police Station.

The arrestees are Md Al Kamal Sheikh aka Kamal, 19, Alvi Hossain Junaid, 19, and Al Alim Sunny, 19.

None of them are students of Primeasia University. They are not named as suspects in the case documents either.

OC Rasel said, "CCTV footage showed the three arrestees were present at the scene. Initially, we have learnt that they were involved in the murder. Based on information obtained from the detainees, we are trying to arrest the named suspects...
