Dhaka, July 1 -- Three more policemen, including a deputy inspector general (DIG), have been suspended for allegedly absconding from their workplace.
The suspensions were announced via three separate notifications on the home ministry's website on Tuesday.
The officials affected are Noor-e-Al Mina, a former DIG of the Chattogram Range; former deputy commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Manas Kumar Poddar, and Rahmat Ullah Chowdhury.
The suspensions come two days after the suspension of 13 other policemen of SP, additional SP, and assistant SP rank on similar charges of prolonged absence from duty.
