Dhaka, March 8 -- Three people have been killed and five others, including a police officer, injured in separate road accidents in Jamalpur.

Jamalpur Sadar Police Station chief Abu Faisal Md Atik said one person was killed on the Jamalpur-Tangail road on Friday night, while two others died in a separate crash on the Jamalpur-Mymensingh road early on Saturday.

The dead were identified as truck driver Jewel Akhand Kalu from Chanakanda in Jamalpur municipality, Shawon Islam from Simarpar in Bakshiganj, and businessman Anchu Khan from Madhur Bazar.
