Dhaka, Feb. 16 -- A Dhaka court has sent three alleged Bangladesh Chhatra League members to jail in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act following their arrest at Dhanmondi 32.

Metropolitan Magistrate Md Jewel Rana rejected their bail petitions on Monday, defence lawyer Jahangir Alam said.

The accused are Md Sakib, a student of Mirpur Government Rupnagar Model School and College, Md Jihadul Islam Jihad of Hatiya Degree College in Noakhali and Raihan Rifad, a student of Rupdhan Bandar Amiria High School in Barishal.

Police arrested them around 5:30pm on Sunday while they were attempting to place wreaths at Bangabandhu's portrait.
