Dhaka, Jan. 6 -- A chargesheet accusing 28 people, including former Bangladesh Chhatra League leader, has been filed 15 months after mentally-ill Toffazzal Hossain was beaten to death on suspicion of theft at Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall of Dhaka University.
Additional Superintendent Hannanul Islam of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) submitted the chargesheet to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court in Dhaka, said Sub-Inspector Zinnat Ali of the prosecution police.
Complainant Mohammad Amanullah remains unsatisfied with the PBI chargesheet and plans to submit a formal objection, his lawyer Selim Javed said. The court scheduled the next hearing for Mar 10.
