Dhaka, March 21 -- Two people have been killed after a truck ran a pedestrian over before crashing into a three-wheeled passenger vehicle, locally called "Bhotbhoti", in Bogura's Sherpur Upazila.
The victims were identified as 52-year-old Harun-or-Rashid, the pedestrian, and 35-year-old Hanif Uddin, a labourer travelling on the three-wheeler.
At least 21 others were injured in the accident that occurred in the Ranbir Bala area along the Sherpur-Dhunat regional road on Friday, according to Sherpur Police Station Sub-Inspector Tofazzal Hossain.
Seven of them have been taken to the hospital in critical condition, though their identities have not yet been confirmed.
