Dhaka, Jan. 7 -- Fourteen police officers of the rank of deputy inspector general (DIG), additional DIG and superintendent of police have been transferred.

The officers include those serving with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Police Training Centres (PTC) and the Tourist Police.

The home ministry issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday.

Among those transferred are two DIG-ranked officers: DIG of Dhaka CID SM Fazlur Rahman and Md Sazzadur Rahman.

Fazlur has been posted to the Police Telecom Unit at Rajarbagh in the same rank, while Sazzadur Rahman has been assigned to the Armed Police Battalion (APBn).
