Dhaka, July 11 -- As many as 138 new patients have been hospitalised with dengue fever across Bangladesh over the past 24 hours.
No fatalities were reported from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease during that period.
The number of patients hospitalised with the disease this year has risen to 14,069.
The death count remains unchanged at 54.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said as many as 25 new patients were hospitalised in the Dhaka city until Friday.
In addition, 19 were hospitalised in the Dhaka Division, 28 in Chattogram, three each in Khulna and Rajshahi, and 60 in Barishal.
As many as 1,271 patients are currently undergoing treatment for dengue in hospitals across the country.
