Dhaka, May 25 -- At least 13 people have been killed and 92 others injured during heavy rainfall across Pakistan's Punjab province, according to reports in the local media.
Lahore accounted for three of the deaths and Jhelum two, while Rawalpindi, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Sialkot, Mianwali, Layyah, and Jhang each reported one fatality, Pakistani newspaper Dawn reports, citing Punjab's Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
In Lahore, the deaths occurred due to wall collapses and lightning strikes during the storm on Saturday. Six others were also injured in related incidents.
Two people died in similar circumstances in Jhelum. Another 32 people were injured, some of them struck by flying solar panels.
