Bangladesh, Aug. 27 -- The final list of candidates for the Dhaka University hall council election slated for Sept 9 has been published.

According to a press release from the university's Public Relations Office, 1,035 candidates will vie for 13 posts across 18 halls.

Meanwhile, 73 candidates have withdrawn their candidacy, while the nomination of one aspirant has been cancelled.

Earlier, 1,109 nomination papers had been submitted.
