Dhaka, Dec. 20 -- Abdullah Al Jaber, member secretary of Inqilab Moncho, has called on fellow activists to gather at Dhaka's Shahbagh after the burial of the platform's convenor, Sharif Osman Hadi.

Addressing mourners ahead of Hadi's funeral prayers on Saturday at the Parliament's South Plaza, he said: "Why have we come here? We have come here to avenge our brother."

Jaber later urged supporters not to respond to any calls for violence, saying all decisions and programmes would be announced formally by Inqilab Moncho. He called on people to assemble at Shahbagh after the funeral.
