Dhaka, Dec. 25 -- NCP leader Sarjis Alam has welcomed the return of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to Bangladesh and stressed the need for unity to build the country in the period ahead.
The NCP's chief organiser for the northern region made the comments in a Facebook post on Thursday as Tarique prepared to return home after 17 years in exile in the United Kingdom.
The BNP has announced plans to accord Tarique a reception on Dhaka's 300 Feet Road following his arrival.
